Srinagar, Sep 04 (KNO): An IndiGo flight from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar came into contact with a VDGS pole while being positioned at a bay at Srinagar Airport on Friday morning, officials said.
They said all passengers and crew members were safe, with no injuries reported.
In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said IndiGo flight 6E 225 (VT-NOG), operating from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar, was involved in an incident while being positioned at Bay No. 06 at Srinagar Airport at approximately 0902 hours.
He said the aircraft came into contact with the VDGS pole during the parking process.
The spokesperson said all passengers and crew members were safe and no injuries were reported. Passengers and crew were safely deboarded using manual aircraft stairs.
“The details and circumstances leading to the incident will be examined by the appropriate authorities as per the prescribed procedures. The exact cause will be ascertained following the completion of the inquiry, and no conclusion regarding the cause is being drawn at this stage,” reads the statement.
